Evolve Housing provides shelter and training to the vulnerable, getting them back on their feet when they most need. The nature of the organisation means any expenditure that is not related to care, will result in less people benefiting from their services and the community would be at a loss.

Challenge

The organisation was facing a serious performance issue with their Remote Desktop solution (Citrix) and expenditure in connectivity across their branches. Vividsky was contacted to offer assistance finding the performance issues and to look at better connectivity options and increase reliability. The company had many branches from small to very large premises, so a tailored solution to fit these branches was needed.

Vividsky has extensive knowledge about Remote Desktop services and Citrix, improving performance and reliability. We mitigated most performance issues very quickly without involving any upgrades and expenditures and proposed to simplify the network using commodity network hardware and network connections. Some smaller branches were moved from Leased lines to regular fibre internet connections with great performance.

The login times decreased from around 90 seconds down to 15 seconds which in consequence also made everything on the Remote Desktop session work faster as well. The support tickets and loss of productivity decreased drastically and on top of that the costs with connectivity and network support are 2/3 lower than before
